The All-New Ceed is available in 5-door hatchback, Sportswagon (estate) and the recently added Proceed Shooting brake bodystyles. With its ‘Tiger Nose’ grille and ‘ice-cube’ LED daytime running lights All-New Ceed is instantly recognisable as part of the Kia family. All-New Ceed is on a new platform being 20mm wider and 23mm lower than the model it replaces, giving Ceed a lower, wider and more dynamic stance. Drivers and passengers space inside is not compromised as a revised seating hip-point ensures all occupants have plenty of space and drivers can enjoy a more integrated driving position.

The All-New Ceed introduces new features to improve comfort and convenience on board. New safety features do not just protect the occupants but also look out for vulnerable road users.

Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) are standard on all grades. On ‘3’ grade manual and ‘First Edition’ variants FCA further adds pedestrian protection. The FCA system can detect preceding vehicles as standard and, as an option, pedestrians crossing the road. Using a camera and radar sensors to monitor the speed and distance between vehicles, it warns the driver in the event of a potential collision risk by activating a visual alert. With optional pedestrian detection, the steering wheel gives a haptic response. If there is no driver reaction, the car brakes automatically to avoid or mitigate a collision. In conjunction with the DCT transmission Smart Cruise Control is available for the first time on Ceed. This feature is standard on ‘First Edition’ with DCT and available as a cost option on ‘3’ grade variants with DCT. Smart Cruise Control regulates speed and distance to the vehicle in front. The system maintains the distance to the preceding vehicle by automatically modulating the car’s speed. If the vehicle ahead picks up pace, the Ceed accelerates up to the set speed. If the vehicle in front slows down and the predetermined safe distance cannot be maintained, the system will reduce the speed, or even stop the car. A helpful feature, particularly in stop and go traffic.

Blue Edition From launch a retail focused special edition called ‘Blue Edition’ will be available. ‘Blue Edition’ variants will be available with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT transmission, each mated to the newly introduced 1.4 T-GDi turbo petrol engine with 138bhp, and will be available exclusively in the vibrant new premium paint colour Blue Flame at no extra cost. Highlights from the list of exterior equipment includes 17” alloy wheels, privacy glass and LED bi-function headlights with LED indicators and iconic ‘ice-cube LED daytime running lights. In addition to the extensive equipment found as standard on ‘2’ grade variants, ‘Blue Edition’ showcases the latest 8” frameless navigation display.
